Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies and exercises where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops. This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of stuck pipe prevention and fishing operations. It covers the well configuration and condition; the drilling fluids optimization; the stuck pipe type and mechanism; the free point and pipe cuttings; and the fundamental fishing roles. During this interactive course, participants will learn the job planning, fishing for parted pipe, washover operations and jarring and jar placement; the cashed hole fishing, fishing in cavities and fishing for junk; the milling operations and fishing in horizontal wells; the casing repair, horizontal well fishing and fishing economics; the workover operations, workover planning and wireline fishing; and the coiledtubing fishing operations and thru-tubing fishing. link to course overview PDF

Training Methodology: 80% of the program will be theory and 20% will be practical sessions, exercises, case studies, simulators or videos
